A Party… A Football Party

7 01 2010

As you may or may not be aware, the University of Texas is planing on winning the National Championship tonight against Alabama. There will be a party at the P’ville Girl household. We’re having about 15 of our closest friends, family, and football fans over tonight to watch the game (in “stunning HD” of course). After 2 hours and 2 stops grocery shopping last night I was amazed at what feeding and entertaining 15 people takes. A list… in no particular order:

  • 12 pounds ground beef
  • 1 carton strawberries
  • 2 cheesecakes
  • 6 bags potato chips, assorted varieties
  • 2 bags Chex Mix
  • 2 bricks Velveeta Cheese
  • 1 bag assorted mini chocolate candies
  • 8 2 liter bottles soda, assorted varieties
  • 2 bags charcoal
  • 5 large bowls for previously mentioned chips and Chex Mix
  • Paper plates, plastic cups, and silverware
  • Disposable aluminum pans
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Sliced American cheese
  • 32 hot dogs
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 box Triscuts
  • 1 box Wheat Thins
  • Sliced Dill Pickles
  • Bacon
  • Cranberry juice
  • Orange juice
  • 2 cans baked beans
  • Ketchup
  • 2 cans hot dog sauce
  • 2 pkgs sausage
  • tortillas
  • Mustard
  • Hot dog and hamburger buns
  • Bottled water

And of course, the puppy dog thought it was all for her:

I don’t plan on doing a 2009 retrospective, I think I’d rather just move on and think about next year.  I do plan on giving my self some weekly goals, which I also plan on tracking here on the blog, should be starting that up next week!  In the mean time, here’s some photos from our holiday:

The mantle.  We had to take down the stockings… they were in danger of burning!

The required puppy dog picture (btw Tami, your drawing of Missy is AWESOME!! Your gift is comming soon!)

The table for Christmas dinner.

What I spent a large portion of my holiday doing.
